Bountiful Chalk Art Festival – May 15-18 on the sidewalks of Bountiful’s Main Street. Admission is FREE and in addition to the art, there will be roving musicians.
Downtown Provo’s Rooftop Concert Series – Enjoy a FREE concert Friday nights on top of the Central Bank parking terrace (100 W 100 N, Provo).

UTA Bike Bonanza – Friday, May 17 from 4pm – 8pm at the Gallivan Plaza. This is a Free event that includes: free pizza and creamies, free helmets to the 1st 75 kids, free water bottles to the 1st 300, vendor and information booths, bike rodeo, and more.
Provo City Library’s 2013 Children’s Book Festival – May 17 & 18. There will be Children’s Book Festival Activities on Saturday from 11 am – 2 pm at the Ballroom. This is a free event that includes: face painting, crafts, treats, puppet shows and more.
McDonalds Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration – Saturday, May 18, from 1 – 4 p.m., McDonald’s and the Utah Governor’s Commission on Literacy Host a Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration. The 124 McDonald’s restaurants in Utah, western Wyoming and eastern Nevada, will give the first 100 Children at each McDonalds restaurant a Free Scholastic Book!
Living Traditions Festival - May 17-19 at the Salt Lake City & County Building (450 S 200 E). This Free event includes local ethnic artists, dancers, musicians, and community groups.
Utah Pasifika Festival (Provo) – May 17-19 at 100 E Center St. This is a Free event that brings the Islands of Polynesia together in song, dance, food and crafts.
Rose Park Community Festival - Saturday, May 18 from 10 am – 4 pm at Rose Park Elementary School (1105 W 1000 N).
BYU Astrofest (Provo) – Saturday, May 18 from 10 am – 4 pm at BYU Eyring Science Center. Murdock Canal Trail Grand Opening (Orem) Saturday, May 18 from 8 am – 2 pm at Murdock Canal Trail (800 North). Activities for the entire family will take place along the trail. The event offers attendees a chance to get outside and either walk, run, bike or ride a horse along the trail. There will be activities, prizes, food, booths and ceremonies in Orem, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, Cedar Hills, American Fork, Highland and Lehi.
