Chances are a drive to see Christmas lights is on your list of Christmas to do’s. We’ve started our yearly Utah Christmas Lights Display list. Here’s what we have so far.

Hogle Zoo’s ZooLights is something you can’t go wrong with. Plus, on Thursday’s December 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th you’ll be able to get in to see ZooLights for $3.00 bucks. Zoo members receive $1 off regular ZooLights admission.

Enjoy a lighted riverboat ride on the lower Provo River with Clas Ropes. There are thousands of lights reflecting off the water, holiday scenes along the shore, and Christmas music on the boat. Santa even comes to visit on his canoe. Prices are $8.00 per person. There is a $1 off coupon available here.

Thanksgiving Point has a huge light display. Located in Lehi on 3003 Thanksgiving Way, Thanksgiving Points boasts more than a mile of winding path through one million twinkling lights, giant animated holiday displays and illuminated trees, Holiday Lights is better than ever, blending the favorites of the past and the excitement of new displays. The Christmas Story, as illustrated by Simon Dewey, completes the experience with a beautiful and meaningful nativity. Cost is $8.00 per car.

Garrdiner House Covered in Snow

Heritage Park offers a Candlelight Christmas December 2,3, 8-27, excluding Sundays, and December 24. Visit Father Christmas, see real reindeer, enjoy carolers with the backdrop of the glitter of lights. Admission is $10/Adults; $7/Seniors; $7/Children; Children 2 and under Free.

Heber Valley North Pole Express – board this fun Christmas themed train and enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, choirs, a visit from Santa, and lighted houses as you travel to the North Pole. Prices range from $18-$47 depending upon the time of day and the seats you select.

The St. George Tuacahn has a Live Nativity includes real live camels, and beautiful costumes. Cost is $2 per person or $10 per family.

Wildard Bay has a Christmas light display that you can view from your car or horse drawn wagon ride. Take I-15 and use exit #357 and enter from the Cottonwood Campground. Admission is $9 a car/horse drawn wagon.

Spanish Fork Festival of Lights at Canyon View Park, 3300 E. Powerhouse Rd. Listen to holiday music while your drive through displays. Cost is $5 per car.

FREE! Head to Gardner Village with the kids and let them hunt down the list of elves. Find all the elves on this Scavenger Hunt list. Then head to Sweet Aftons for a yummy piece of fudge!

FREE!: How about Christmas Street. Located in Taylorsville this festive neighborhood has been decorating their street for what I believe to be around 20 years (It’s a guess. My kids were really little when we first went). Each is a page in the book of The Night Before Christmas. Christmas Street is located on 3310 West Royal Wood Drive. I couldn’t find a web address. FREE: Perhaps my favorite is Winder Dairy. Take a drive down the historic Winder Lane. Then visit the Country store for some Hot Chocolate and Scones with fresh churned butter. Very fun! Winder Farms are located on 4400 West and 4100 South in West Valley City. LINK here for more information on Winder Farms. (note: There is a charge for the Hot Chocolate & Scones)

FREE: Layton City’s display at Layton Commons Park. You can walk through or drive if it’s too cold. If you’d like to go extra festive, the Burger Stop (located just outside the park) organizes Hayrides through the light display on Friday’s and Saturday’s in December (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). The hours are 6-9p and the cost is $2 for Adults, $1 for Kids and FREE for 5 and under. (Thanks@UtahTodaysMama)

FREE: It wouldn’t be a Utah Christmas without Temple Square. This beautiful light display is a Holiday tradition and known world wide. As long as you’re downtown you may want to weigh in on Utah’s window display contest. Do a little window shopping then vote for your favorite. LINK here to see which window displays are competing.

Christmas Utah (above) is an animated Christmas Light Show synchronized to music. Christmas Utah runs from the weekend after Thanksgiving until New Years every year. Located in Murray on 5631 So. Whispering Pine (831 East). Traffic can get very heavy. We like to just park at the church and take a fun walk. We went last year and this house is amazing! Valley Fair Mall The Holdman’s house previously held their light display in Pleasant Grove, but has since moved it to the Valley Fair Mall to accommodate the traffic. Riverdale – All those Lights – There’s a family in Riverdale that’s nuts about lights. Not only do they have a great Christmas display, but remember them next year for Halloween too. 1198 W. 5525 S. Riverdale, UT. LINK here for hours and info.

Sandy: 8005 S 12 Pines Drive. 85 Christmas blow-up adorn this house. This fun unique display was featured on KSL news.

Tooele Lights on 1310. Three neighbors decorate their homes with more than 70,000 lights to synchronized music. Runs 5:30pm to 10pm Sunday thru Thursday and 5:30 to 11pm Friday and Saturday. Santa pays a vist on Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm. 426 E 1310 N.

East Millcreek 2555 E. Neffs Circle (3550 S.) Simple, but elegant light show with over 7,300 lights choreographed to music of all genres! New songs are being added every few days! M-Th 6:00-9:30 – F-Su 6:00-10:30

West Jordan: 2458 W. 7870 South and tune into 91.9 FM and you can experience the light show designed by the teen. Donations accepted for the Make A Wish Foundation. Information courtesy FM100
