REMINDER: Utah Olympic 10th Anniversary – This Friday Feb. 17, The community of Kearns “Welcomes the World” once again! Re-live the Winter Olympics with a live Parade of Nations, a Children of Light figure skating performance, sport exhibitions, a torch re-lighting with past and present Speedskating athletes, autographs and photos with athletes, and 2002 Olympic memorabilia.
Saturday, Feb. 18, an outdoor sport festival will be held in the streets of The Gateway shopping center in downtown Salt Lake City.During the street festival, participants will have an opportunity to meet winter Olympic athletes, participate in interactive winter sport demonstrations and view commemorative exhibits about the 2002 Winter Games.

REMINDER: Try Hockey for FREE Day – Saturday, Feb. 18, USA Hockey and over 200 local programs across the country will encourage kids, ages 4 to 9, to come to a local rink and try youth hockey as part of Hockey Weekend Across America. All locations have a limited amount of equipment available for use. There are participating locations in Murray, Cottonwood Heights, West Valley, Bountiful, Provo and more. Stokes Nature Center (Logan) – is holding Snowshoe Saturday this Saturday: Sweetheart Special Feb. 18 at 1-4pm. Snowshoe in Logan Canyon and explore the backcountry together, then warm up with hot cocoa and treats (Adults only). A $5 donation is suggested and registration is required, call 435-755-3239
Daytime Moon (Wasatch State Park) – Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10am-noon. Learn why the moon has phases and how it affects wildlife. Head outside on snowshoes. Program is free, snowshoes available to rent for $5 – registrations is required, space is limited – call 435-654-1791.

Fit Family Initiative is offering FREE Tae Kwon Do Fundamentals classes for kids ages 5-12, held at both Holladay and South Jordan locations this Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1pm. You must pre-register here. While there, you can also register for a Free Yoga with Zen Living class for next Saturday.
Lakeshore Learning stores offer a free craft every Saturday from 11am-3pm. This Saturday kids can make a Little Log Cabin. Lakeshore Learning is in The Oakwood Village Shopping Center 5480 S. 900 East.
